 Phonological Awareness is a building block of emergent literacy. Michelle Elia, State Support Team Region 5 Coordinator, will share the components of early phonological awareness as well as how to use read alouds of specific texts and daily conversations and interactions to build children's phonological awareness skills. This workshop is open to librarians, teachers, parents, and anyone interested in helping children acquire skills needed for learning to read.
